Job Description

LHH Recruitment Solutions has a Production Manager opening for our client in the Seabrook, NJ area! This direct hire role allows you to utilize your training and experience of food and beverage manufacturing production management and lead the way for process and procedural operational improvements. You will be a critical component in resolving issues related to safety concerns, inspections, trainings and foster a proactive safety-first culture. You will be responsible to work collaboratively with other department managers to deliver successful accountability measures and key objectives.

Salary range: $110,000 to $115,000 DOE.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage overall quality performance of the production department, schedule attainment, and including but not limited to line performance.
  • Identify, develop, and implement departmental expectations and KPI's.
  • Manage and analyze the production schedule to coordinate resources necessary to attain/exceed required levels of production.
  • Monitor production output and quality performance while tracking downtime trends, and simultaneously establish plans to improve production performance.
  • Lead, develop and motivate employees.
  • Lead, teach, coach, document and counsel to develop and improve departmental performance.
  • Ensure employee compliance with established standards, i.e. GMP, HACCP, Food Safety, Food Security, Safety Rules, Work Rules, and company policies and procedures as well as local, state and federal rules and regulations.
  • Work cross-functionally with departments in the organization such as Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Finance to ensure production needs are met.
  • Identify areas of improvement in machinery and operationally needed to maximize efficiency.
  • Work with and support the execution of capital projects, suggesting any changes in working conditions, and recommend/implement policy and process improvements.
  • Manage department budget.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Manage 6-12 production supervisors, who supervise approximately 100+ hourly employees.
  • Maintains staff by assisting in recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees as well as continually maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment while developing and documenting personal growth opportunities.
  • Communicates job expectations such as planning, monitoring, and assessing job/production results.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Proven five or more years related experience within a food and beverage manufacturing environment.
  • Must be detailed oriented, multi-task skills, and possess excellent time management skills.
  • Experience in report writing - performance, production, KPI, budgeting, etc.
  • Proven ability to direct, coach, and train others.
  • Analytical, consultative, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Sufficient physical ability to work in a manufacturing production environment.
  • Ability to speak and hear; ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Able to have the use of hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment as needed/required.
  • Exposure to seasonally wet and humid conditions and fluctuations in seasonal temperature.
  • Ability to squat, kneel, and must have the ability to reach above and at shoulder height.
  • Must have the ability to wear a mask if needed and/or dust mask.
  • Must be able to maintain knowledge of and exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals.
  • Must have the ability to use close and distance vision including color and peripheral vision with or without vision correction means.
  • Must be able to visually and auditorily detect obstacles and potential dangers in a production environment setting.

This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the hourly pay range is estimated to be $110,000 to $115,000 DOE, and benefits may include medical, dental, vision, 401k+match and PTO.
