Position Summary

At Radio Engineering Industries, we know our success starts with adaptable team members who can jump in wherever they’re needed most. Therefore, we are seeking a versatile Production Floater to join our team and support key areas across production, quality assurance, and stockroom operations. This flexible position ensures coverage during employee absences and peak workloads, while gaining cross-training experience in multiple areas of the business.

• Assist with production tasks in various departments, including assembly, packaging, quality checks, and material handling
• Provide coverage for absent employees or during peak production periods
• Set up, operate, and monitor machines or equipment as directed
• Reads work orders or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed
• Perform quality inspections on raw materials, in-process work, and finished products to ensure compliance with company standards
• Utilizes IR Scanners for labor entries and verifying part/serial numbers
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment by following safety and housekeeping practices
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding progress, quality concerns, or safety issues
• Other duties as required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow established procedures, and commitment to quality
• Good communication skills and ability to work well with diverse teams
• Dependable with excellent attendance and teamwork skills

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or quality assurance
• Ability to quickly learn new tasks and operate various types of equipment
• Flexibility to work in different departments, shifts, or tasks as needed
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
