Principal, Executive Rewards Consultant Mercer

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Career Consulting team at Mercer . The role will be based at [Office Location] and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office or with clients.

What You Will Do

  • Structure, direct, review, and interpret analyses performed by project teams
  • Develop executive compensation strategies, philosophies, and incentive programs that address clients attraction and retention needs
  • Provide consulting services to senior management and Compensation Committees on compensation issues, including pay competitiveness, performance measurement, short and longterm incentive plan design, governance, and regulatory implications
  • Manage daytoday client interactions, building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Provide guidance and oversight to junior team members, supporting their development and ensuring quality deliverables
  • Generate revenue by developing new client relationships, extending existing engagements, and identifying crossselling opportunities

What You Need To Have

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field
  • Extensive (8+ years) of experience in executive compensation consulting or related HR advisory roles, with demonstrated subjectmatter expertise
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, largescale projects and complex client engagements (e.g., public, private, familyowned, preIPO, PEbacked companies)
  • Deep expertise in executive compensation practices and trends, and approaches to cash and equitybased incentives
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, such as executives and Boards of Directors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to learning and problemsolving
