Job Description

The Plant Operator is responsible for efficient machine operations in one or more of the following departments: Preform, Paint or Thermo Plastic. Responsibilities include understanding and executing production processes such as conversion, extrusion, PLC programming screens, preform material production, die boards, cut plans, wrapping, forklift operations, packaging, shipping and receiving. The operator must operate machinery according to manuals and best practices, execute proper settings, calibrations, troubleshooting, maintenance, quality and production output of equipment. Basic math skills and ability to use handheld tools including tape measure are required. The operator follows directives from production scheduler, lead, or manager, stays updated with departmental and procedural changes, trains other personnel, complies with company policies, assists in maintaining a safe environment, and performs additional duties as assigned. Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, minimum 6 months manufacturing experience preferred, ability to follow directions, physical ability to push, pull, lift 50 lbs and stand up to 11 hours daily, and frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
