About Baptist Regional Children's Center at North Central Baptist Hospital

• Annual Volume: 15,000
• PED Beds: 16
• EMR: Cerner
• Patients/Hour: 1.4
• Admission Rate: 9%
• 12-hour physician shifts with APP support
• Trauma Designation: Level III
• Qualifications: BC/BP in Pediatric Emergency Medicine
• North Central Baptist Hospital features separate adult and pediatric emergency departments
• Baptist Children's Hospital features pediatric surgery and anesthesia specialists as well as a PICU
• Excellent specialty coverage of neurosurgery is available across the five hospitals in San Antonio's Baptist Health System
• Enjoy a simple "one call" system for admissions and transfers
• NPs and PAs practice independently in the ED, meaning physicians have no APP charts to sign
