Reporting to the\nDirector of Pharmacy Services at UCLA Health West Valley Medical Center, you\nwill work to coordinate and supervise department operations. You will\nindependently select Pharmacy staff or participate in the interviews and\nrecommend who should be hired; independently determine Pharmacy staff/direct\nreports ’ performance ratings or recommend performance ratings; independently\ndecide who will be selected for promotional opportunities, and whether to\nrequest the reclassification of a position, or recommend these actions. You\nwill have independent authority to issue written warnings and suspensions and\ndetermine what discipline should be imposed upon a subordinate OR recommends\nsuch actions; have independent authority to resolve grievances or complaints or\nformulate and recommend a resolution to grievances or complaints.

Activities will\ninclude:

\n
• Providing direct supervision to\n pharmacists and certified, licensed, and skilled technical employees in\n inpatient Pharmacy practice areas.
\n
• Functioning as an advisor to\n the department, Pharmacy leadership and Medical Center administration.
\n
• Analyzing and resolving\n problems, interpret policies (e.g., operational, management, HR, resource\n management in defined areas) and demonstrate solid subject matter\n knowledge (e.g., regulatory, operational and clinical).
\n
• Exercising judgment within\n defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action.
\n
• Supervising staff to assure\n accountability and stewardship of department resources (operational,\n financial and human) in compliance with departmental goals and objectives.

Schedule: Monday -\nFriday (Fully Onsite)

Annual Salary Range:\n$140,200.00 - $331,800.00

Qualifications

We’re\nseeking a strong, independent clinical leader with current California Pharmacy\nlicensure, a PharmD degree and:

\n
• Seven or more years of\n inpatient hospital pharmacy experience or 5 years of inpatient\n hospital experience with residency
\n
• Two or more years of leadership\n experience preferred
\n
• Strong communication,\n organizational, prioritizing, and follow-through skills
\n
• Knowledge of clinical,\n ambulatory and dispensing workflows
\n
• CSP or equivalent board\n certification preferred
\n
• Advanced Practice Pharmacist\n (APh) licensure is desirable
\n
