Job Description
Position: Penetration Testing Lead Overview: Cyber Defense Technologies (CDT), a leading small business cybersecurity and engineering firm, is seeking a skilled highly skilled and experienced Penetration Testing Lead to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical proficiency, including OSCP, OSCE, or similar certifications, and a broad range of experience spanning web applications, network infrastructure, and server environments. This individual will lead a small team of penetration testers, driving the development and implementation of cutting-edge tools, techniques, and procedures, while also contributing to automation initiatives and integrating AI to enhance testing capabilities.
Clearance: Ability to pass background checks, Secret or Higher clearance desired but not required.
Responsibilities: - Lead and mentor a team of penetration testers, providing technical guidance and oversight.
- Plan, execute, and manage penetration tests on web applications, network infrastructure, and servers.
- Develop, refine, and implement in-house tools, methodologies, and procedures for comprehensive assessments.
- Create and maintain scripts and automation frameworks to streamline testing processes.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert, delivering concise and effective briefings to high-level government officials and stakeholders, including walkthroughs of findings as needed.
- Integrate AI tools and frameworks to support and enhance penetration testing efforts.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure engagement objectives are met with the highest level of quality.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of findings, remediation guidance, and best practice recommendations.
Qualifications: - OSCP, OSCE, or equivalent certifications in penetration testing.
- Broad experience in penetration testing for web applications, network infrastructure, and servers.
- Proficiency in coding, with a strong emphasis on Python scripting.
- Proven experience leading small teams and driving technical excellence.
- Experience with developing and implementing automated testing workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, including government stakeholders.
- Experience leveraging AI solutions to augment penetration testing capabilities is highly desired.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Additional Details: - Remote Position: This role is remote and open to candidates anywhere within CONUS (Continental United States).
- Travel Requirement: Up to 25% travel may be required to support client engagements and onsite briefings.
