Agave Pediatrics is excited to announce a career opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our fast-growing practice. We are committed to delivering exceptional care to children and families, and we're in search of a professional who is passionate about pediatric health to fill this full-time position. This role is central to our team's operations and is perfect for those who thrive in dynamic, non-remote work environments and wish to be actively involved in the various aspects of pediatric healthcare.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handle high-volume patient interactions with superior customer service.
  • Manage appointment scheduling efficiently to accommodate patient needs.
  • Oversee medical chart management using eClinical Works EMR system.
  • Perform front desk duties including check-in and check-out processes.
  • Engage in daily opening and closing responsibilities to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Uphold strong phone etiquette for patient communications.
  • Facilitate patient rooming and basic in-office laboratory procedures.
  • Administer vaccines and assist with other medical procedures as necessary.
  • Conduct triage phone calls to address and escalate patient concerns appropriately.
  • Work flexible hours, including some Saturdays, to meet the needs of the practice.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Must possess keen attention to detail and excellent multitasking skills.
  • Bilingual capabilities preferred but not required.
  • At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must hold a Medical Assistant Diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for effective interaction with patients, families, and team members.
  • Experience with insurance and healthcare billing practices is advantageous.
  • Flexibility and willingness to undertake a variety of tasks as required.
