Patient Services Coordinator

About the Company and Opportunity:

Our client is a non-profit in DC that is focused on providing shelter and necessities to people in need!
Due to a growth, they are hiring a Patient Services Coordinator to work in-office in Washington, DC.
Schedule is Mon-Fri, 7:30a-4pm.
Pay: $20-22/hr
Duration: contract-to-hire - depending on performance, fit, and needs of the business.

Overview of the Patient Services Coordinator role:

Greet clients and visitors and provide excellent customer service
Complete the registration process by collecting demographic and health insurance information
Verify medical insurance eligibility prior to the provider visit
Answer phones, schedule/reschedule appointments, and monitor and maintain record of no-shows.
Scan medical documents into Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Schedule specialty referral appointments for clients as needed.
Monitor and complete medical record requests.
Ad hoc reporting/projects.

Preferred Qualifications for the Patient Services Coordinator :

1+ years experience working in a medical office is required
2+ years of customer service experience is a plus
Experience with eClincialWorks is a plus
Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Office Assistant certification is preferred
CPR/First-Aid Certification is a must
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
