Patient Services Coordinator

About the Company and Opportunity:

• Our client is a non-profit in DC that is focused on providing shelter and necessities to people in need!
• Due to a growth, they are hiring a Patient Services Coordinator to work in-office in Washington, DC.
• Schedule is Mon-Fri, 7:30a-4pm.
• Pay: $20-22/hr
• Duration: contract-to-hire - depending on performance, fit, and needs of the business.

Overview of the Patient Services Coordinator role:

• Greet clients and visitors and provide excellent customer service
• Complete the registration process by collecting demographic and health insurance information
• Verify medical insurance eligibility prior to the provider visit
• Answer phones, schedule/reschedule appointments, and monitor and maintain record of no-shows.
• Scan medical documents into Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• Schedule specialty referral appointments for clients as needed.
• Monitor and complete medical record requests.
• Ad hoc reporting/projects.

Preferred Qualifications for the Patient Services Coordinator :

• 1+ years experience working in a medical office is required
• 2+ years of customer service experience is a plus
• Experience with eClincialWorks is a plus
• Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Office Assistant certification is preferred
• CPR/First-Aid Certification is a must
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
