About the role

This part-time position requires weekend and holiday work. The shift is generally from 10 am to 6 pm on weekends and from 1:30 pm to 6 pm on weekdays however, the ending time can vary slightly depending on when the scheduled work has been completed. Compensation will be $16.00 per hour.

What you'll do

The primary responsibilities of the Summer Microbiology Technician may include preparing media; receiving samples and recording temperatures; logging sample data into the Company's system; calibrating pH meters and balances; analyzing samples and recording results; and performing routine laboratory maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

No prior experience is required, but successful candidates should possess a high school degree or equivalent experience; have general computer skills; have previous work experience that required detailed tasks; and have some background (education or work) in the sciences. Prior laboratory experience is a plus. Garden State Laboratories, Inc.
