Role Overview:

Sodexo is seeking a Part Time Dietitian Nutritionist (20 hours/week) to provide inpatient care at Cape Fear Valley Central Harnett Hospital, a 44-bed acute care facility. Service areas include medicine, surgery, and telemetry. This position will also provide support at nearby Cape Fear Valley Betsy Johnson Hospital as needed.

Incentives: $3000 Sign on Bonus, Reimbursement for Academy dues, state licensure fees and CDR renewal! What You'll Do:

 

The Dietitian will report to the System Clinical Nutrition Manager and will: 

• Maintain responsibility for comprehensive nutrition assessments/reassessments and counseling of general patients and their families per the Nutrition Care Process model. 
• Actively participate in daily multidisciplinary rounding with care team members.
• Provide education to patients, as well as staff, and work well with physicians, pharmacists, nursing, occupational and speech therapists, and other ancillary staff.
• Be involved in quality improvement and research projects as opportunities arise.
• Serve as a preceptor for dietetic interns, as needed.

What You Bring:

 

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a Registered Dietitian with 0-3 years of experience.
• Have a willingness to learn with a strong desire to help patients and their families.
• Possess the ability to creatively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision, and make decisions while working within a self-directed and team-oriented work environment.
• Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups.
• Have strong time management and organizational skills.
• Have North Carolina State licensure.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
