SMMC seeks a FPOB or Ob/Gyn to provide comprehensive perinatal care, family medicine, and women’s health. Our multi-disciplinary care team is a unique model of fully integrated medical and behavioral health care with licensed therapists and care managers. Our team consists of many specialists, family medicine physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, licensed behavioral health provider, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, and care coordinators. We serve a rural community, with a varied population. The health center provides extensive community health and prevention programs and school-based services. A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree and have successfully completed an accredited ACGME/AOA Family Medicine residency program

Steele Memorial (SMMC) is a county owned, 18 bed, CMS certified Critical Access Hospital and Level IV trauma center. The center also includes a Rural Health Clinic (RHC) consisting of family practice, behavioral health, and a walk in-urgent care clinic. The Salmon area boasts an abundance of activities from a new wave park located in the middle of town to skiing at Lost Trail Ski Area ski resort 45 miles away, or finding solitude in one of many tranquil hot springs. The community hosts an array of recreation with managed trails including mountain biking, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, atv-ing, motor biking, hiking, and horseback riding. Our area also has many water activities on our famous River of No Return from Salmon and Steelhead fishing, white water rafting, paddle boarding, kayaking, to jet boating if you are that adventurous.
