Role Overview:

Sodexo is seeking a  Nutrition Support Dietitian for Lehigh Valley Health Network located in  Allentown, PA. Cedar Crest Hospital is an 800-bed Level I Trauma, Level IV NICU, Teaching Hospital with 120 ICU beds and 17 dietitians on staff. This position will cover multiple ICUs, have order writing privileges for nutrition support, actively participate on the TPN team, and the opportunity to learn to place small bore feeding tubes. The Dietitians on this team actively participate in process improvement and research!

 

Reimbursement for AND dues, state licensure fees, and CDR renewal

What You'll Do:

• provide nutritional care for a variety of ICU units;
• be involved in hospital wide initiatives;
• have opportunities to participate in research projects;
• perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays;
• educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses; and
• precept dietetic interns.

What You Bring:

• Registered Dietitian credentials and be licensed in PA;
• CNSC is highly preferred;
• strong verbal and written communication skills;
• good time management skills be a self-starter and a team player; and
• the ability to work well with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

 

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
