Waste Connections is looking for a Container Delivery Driver to join our GROWING team in El Paso, TX. M-F: Start time 3AM-5AM (50-60 hours per week) with rotating Saturdays. Starting Pay: $17.00. This position is eligible for safety bonuses. Duties include sequencing routes for optimal efficiency, safely operating a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste (waste experience preferred but not required), reading route sheets and servicing each customer identified, performing routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires, performing physically demanding job duties including loading and unloading at times without helpers, operating hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities, courteous interaction with customers, and other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Working conditions involve extensive physical activity including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds, exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts requiring safety precautions, exposure to outside weather including wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, vibration, and moderate noise levels. Minimum job requirements include the ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English and basic knowledge of truck components to complete pre- and post-trip inspections.
