Description Job Summary: The Front Desk Associate at the Newtown Performance Institute serves as the first point of contact for members, clients, and visitors at the Newtown Sports Center and Newtown Performance Institute. This role requires excellent customer service skills, organizational ability, and a proactive approach to supporting daily operations. The associate will be responsible for ensuring a welcoming environment, providing information about programs and services, managing inquiries, and maintaining smooth front desk operations.
Key Responsibilities: Customer Service & Reception
•Greet all members, clients, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
•Answer phone calls and emails promptly, providing accurate information or directing inquiries to appropriate staff.
•Assist with check-ins, registrations, and program sign-ups.
•Address member concerns and resolve issues effectively or escalate to the appropriate department.
Administrative Support
•Manage front desk operations, including handling payments, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records.
•Process memberships, class enrollments, and service purchases.
•Maintain and organize marketing materials, event schedules, and other resources at the desk.
Facility Coordination
•Monitor facility use and enforce policies to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
•Assist in scheduling for spaces such as gyms, studios, and training areas.
•Report maintenance or cleanliness concerns to the appropriate department promptly.
Program Promotion & Engagement
•Provide detailed information on offerings, including MMA, performance training, youth programs, and sports activities.
•Upsell memberships, private training, or class packages when appropriate.
•Support marketing efforts by promoting events and encouraging participation.
Position Requirements Qualifications: •Experience: Previous customer service or front desk experience preferred, especially in fitness or sports facilities.
•Skills:
o Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
o Proficient with scheduling software and basic office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, POS systems).
o Ability to multi-task in a busy environment.
•Attributes:
o Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
o Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
o Passion for fitness, sports, or wellness is a plus.
