Job Description

Cognizant is looking for a dynamic .NET Architect with experience designing and developing complex software systems and applications. The individual will work with product owners, subject matter experts, and product managers to design and deliver customer value. The role is expected to lead several software engineers in the delivery of custom applications. The individual in this role will ensure that best practices are followed and that quality code is delivered. Lastly, Cognizant needs an individual that loves to collaborate with other technologists and enjoys mentoring and coaching.

Location: Onsite role in Dallas, Texas

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

· Works with product owner and developers to groom product backlog

· Design and support solutions with .NET (C#), ReactJS, SQL Server, Postgres, and MongoDB.

· Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and translate them into actionable technical roadmaps.

· Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the organization.

· Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence.

· Drive continuous engineering and process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.

· Design resilient and reliable distributed systems using modern architectural best practices.

· Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards.

· Champion secure software development practices, ensuring safe, robust, and resilient systems.

· Oversee application lifecycle management and ensure structured decommissioning of end-of-life products.

· Troubleshoot complex technical problems and identify solutions.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum of 15 years of experience as a Developer and Architect
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Application architect

· Deep understanding of software programming fundamental concepts

· Codes software components and Architecture experience using .NET (C#), ReactJS, SQL Server, Postgres, and MongoDB.

· Architecture, design, implementation, support, and maintenance of applications within our ecosystem.

· Deep understanding of microservices architecture concepts and how to implement them

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
• Experience in designing and deploying cloud-native enterprise applications in public or private cloud
