Friendly, Experienced, Patient Nanny/Housekeeper Needed for Busy Family in Cold Spring Harbor, NY! Location: Cold Spring Harbor, NY
The position is Live-Out - Family is open to Live-In for the right candidate. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 11:00/12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Compensation: $35-$40/hour DOE, Negotiable for the Right Candidate
Benefits: 2 Weeks Paid Time Off + Paid Holidays
A warm, loving family is seeking a
kind, patient, and nurturing Nanny/Housekeeper to support their household and help care for their three wonderful children: two sweet girls (6.5 and 5.5 years old) and a happy, curious toddler boy (18 months). Family also has two loving, friendly cats.
With Dad frequently traveling for work (sometimes internationally) and Mom hoping to return to work more once the right candidate joins, this family needs a dependable and nurturing individual to help divide and conquer the day-to-day responsibilities.
The best fit for this family would be a warm, kind, "go getter." Someone with a very large, boisterous personality wouldn't be the best fit so someone who is a bit quieter, but takes initiative is ideal. With their middle daughter especially,
they need someone who brings calm energy into the home. If you are supportive, love working with children, enjoy creating a harmonious home, and bring a compassionate, calming presence, this family would love to meet you!
Key Responsibilities: - Household Support (11:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
- Light housekeeping: tidying the kitchen, living areas, playroom, and children's rooms
- Kids' laundry and making beds
- Prepping snacks and girls' lunches for the next day
- Helping mom care for the toddler, including putting him down for his nap
- Support household organization projects, as needed
- Childcare & After-School Routine (3:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
- Helping with driving to playdates and after-school activities
- Assisting with homework, snack time, and creative play
- Occasional cooking (simple, healthy meals) if you enjoy it or helping mom prep for dinner
- Supporting dinnertime and bedtime routines
- Helping tidy up the downstairs from the day

Position Responsibilities - Childcare: 3 children, ages 6.5 years (G), 5.5 years (G), and 18 months (B)
- Housekeeping: Light Housekeeping
- Cooking: Help Start/Prep for Dinner - Someone who loves to cook is a bonus! 5.5 year old is a very picky eater so any help finding foods for her would be a HUGE HELP!
- Laundry: Kid's Laundry
- Driving: Required
- Travel: Family would love someone who wants to travel with the family
Position Requirements - Work Hours: M-F, 11:00 AM - 7:00/8:00 PM or 10:00 AM - 6:00/7:00 PM
- Languages: English

- References: Minimum of 2 References
- Background: Background check upon a contingent offer of hire
