Description:
A private family in Short Hills, NJ is seeking a warm, reliable, and proactive  Nanny / Housekeeper to support the day-to-day operations of their home and assist with the care of their three young children. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable with hands-on childcare and maintaining a clean and organized household. A strong sense of teamwork, a helpful attitude, and comfort around children are essential. The family also has a live-in housekeeper/nanny, and this role will require close collaboration with other household staff. Must be a confident driver.

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive and age-appropriate care for three children, including meal prep, activities, supervision, and support during routines
• Engage with the children in a nurturing, patient, and responsible manner
• General housekeeping, including deep cleaning and tidying common areas and children's spaces
• Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe care for the family
• Grocery shopping and household supply runs
• Prepare meals for the children and family, following provided recipes
• Support occasional pet care and light plant care
• Answer the house phone and receive guests with warmth and professionalism
• Assist with service during family meals and occasional events
• Run errands as needed (returns, post office, dry cleaning, etc.)

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a private home in a combined nanny/housekeeping role
• Strong references from both current and prior employers
• Proficient English communication skills (spoken and written)
• Experience caring for multiple children, including young ages
• Must be a team player who is flexible, reliable, and hands-on
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Comfortable swimming and supervising children in the pool when needed
• Valid driver’s license and confident driving ability
• Must have U.S. work authorization
