Motion Graphic Designer - NBC Sports (Freelance - Live On Air Graphics) Full-time Business Segment: NBC Sports We create world-class content, which we distribute across our portfolio of film, television, and streaming, and bring to life through our theme parks and consumer experiences. We own and operate leading entertainment and news brands, including NBC, NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, NBC Sports, Telemundo, NBC Local Stations, Bravo, USA Network, and Peacock, our premium ad-supported streaming service. We produce and distribute premier filmed entertainment and programming through Universal Filmed Entertainment Group and Universal Studio Group, and have world-renowned theme parks and attractions through Universal Destinations & Experiences. Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025. This is a freelance full-time hours project / limited term position with an estimated duration of up to 4 - 12 months, with potential for full-time conversion. The NBC Sports On Air Graphics Team seeks a freelance full-time Broadcast Motion Graphics designer to support its growing portfolio of live sports properties and studio shows. Responsibilities include producing ground-up broadcast motion design work, updating existing elements, and working on properties such as Sunday Night Football, NBA, Premier League, College Football, etc. Proficiency in After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Cinema 4D is essential. A collaborative spirit and ability to work under tight deadlines are crucial, with at least 3 days per week working at the Stamford, CT facility. Job Responsibilities: Work closely with the creative team to establish design tonality and graphic look-and-feel. Create graphic and animated elements including in-game insert graphics, show packages, opens, and titles. Communicate concepts effectively with the Art Director and team. Manage multiple projects while maintaining consistency. Coordinate with producers and departments under tight deadlines. Qualifications: College degree in graphic design or fine arts. 5+ years experience in network or broadcast design. Understanding of design implementation in live sports TV environments. Passion for show packaging and current graphic design trends. Strong concept, storyboard, typography, and motion design skills. Expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Cinema 4D. Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed. Portfolio or reel submission required. Unrestricted work authorization in the US. This position is hybrid, requiring at least three days per week in the office. Applicants may need to attend an in-person interview.
