Airswift has been tasked by one of our major Oil and Gas clients to seek a Micro Project Manager to work on a contract in Victoria, TX.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a Micro Project Manager with 1-4 years of experience to lead and manage smaller-sized projects (up to $500M). This role is ideal for professionals transitioning from Project Engineering (PE) to Project Management (PM) and looking to gain growth experience in a leadership capacity. A background in Industrial Engineering (IE) or Mechanical Engineering (ME) is highly beneficial.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee and manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead and organize brownfield projects at the Victoria Facility, covering a wide range of scopes.
• Drive process changes involving piping, equipment modifications, and electrical system upgrades.
• Provide engineering construction leadership, ensuring successful project execution.
• Lead and manage teams effectively, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills to handle diverse project demands.
• Apply broad engineering experience to problem-solving and project planning.
• EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) background may not be a strong fit for this role.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• 1–4 years of experience, preferably managing smaller-scale projects (~$500M).
• Background in Industrial Engineering (IE) or Mechanical Engineering (ME) is beneficial but not required.
• Engineering degree preferred but not mandatory.
• Refinery experience is required; no specific engineering discipline is necessary.
• Experience in utilities or refinery environments is acceptable, with no strict preference.
• Oil & Gas industry experience is valuable, but not from an oil field operations background.
