At Park Cottage, Mental Health & Wellbeing Practitioners play a central role in delivering and supervising the team to deliver high-quality, recovery-focused support to individuals with complex mental health needs. The service provides a safe, supportive, and rehabilitative environment for up to eight residents, with a strong emphasis on empowerment, independence, and community integration.

This role combines direct support with supervisory responsibilities. As a MHWP, you will:

  • Provide one-to?one and group?based support tailored to individual recovery goals.
  • Use your lived or professional experience to build trusting, empathetic relationships.
  • Support individuals in developing life skills, managing routines, and engaging with their communities.
  • Work closely with health and social care professionals to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
  • Supervise and support staff, offering guidance, reflective practice, and informal coaching.
  • Take responsibility for managing the building and overseeing service delivery in the managers absence.
  • Ensure that support is delivered in line with Penumbras values of Compassion, Courage, Curiosity, and Collaboration .


This is a leadership role within the team, requiring strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to model professional conduct. Experience in mental health support and staff supervision is essential. You will be part of a supportive and values?driven organisation that invests in its people.
