Medical Assistant/Scribe

A medical practice is seeking a Medical Assistant who also has responsibilities of a Scribe. You will work Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Job Duties:

1. Verify patient information, record medical history, document vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history
2. Chart physician/patient interactions in real time within an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
3. Document patient history, review of systems, physical exam details, differential diagnosis, treatment plans, orders, medications, follow ups, and where applicable billing and procedure codes
4. Schedule surgeries with the hospitals; verify times with patients and prepare surgery schedule request forms
5. Transcribe dictated notes
6. Clean, sanitize, and prepare examination rooms and tools at the beginning of the day, before and in between each patient
7. Assist the Administrator in maintaining medical inventory, place orders, other procedures, and perform other duties as directed
8. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment
