This data-driven and self-directed individual will utilize technical expertise in machining and assembly processes to improve productivity for our Franklin Operations team. The Manufacturing Engineer will be an informal leader, driving the use of lean tools to eliminate waste in Operations.
This position reports to the Engineering Manager, is onsite and is based in Franklin, NH.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities \n - Provide daily engineering technical support for manufacturing operations that include casting, machining, assembly, and valve testing.
\n - Use 3D solid modeling software to design machinery, tools, and fixtures
\n - Participate on kaizen teams to improve quality, productivity, and safety.
\n - Apply statistical methods to determine and improve process capability, repeatability, first-pass yields, and conformance to quality requirements.
\n - Research, justify, and manage capital equipment purchases
\n - Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, processes, tooling, equipment capabilities, and quality control standards.
\n - Work with cross-functional teams to ensure Bill of Material (BOM) routers are accurate for setup and cycle times and reflect real-world constraints and capabilities.
\n - Respond to Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) by updating BOMs and routers accordingly in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, production and supply chain to ensure changes are implemented smoothly.
\n - Assist in the development and writing of process control plans and work instructions.
\n - Perform routine housekeeping to ensure area operates within parameters that conform to environmental and safety standards.
\n - Comply with all safety and company policies and procedures.
\n - Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Engineering Manager or Company management.

Required Qualifications \n - BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field
\n - 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
\n - Proficient with Solid modeling, CAD software.
\n - Familiarity with routers and SAP
\n - Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
\n - Advanced computer skills which include proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point.
\n - Ability to triage work and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
\n - Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
\n - Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications \n - Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor.
\n - Working knowledge of cutting tools used in CNC and convention machining processes.
\n - Hands-on experience with assembly/fabrication using basic mechanics tools.
\n - CNC programming utilizing CAD/CAM software for milling and turning operations.
\n - Prior experience with the processing of castings.
\n - Tool and fixture design experience.
\n

Working Conditions: While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site in a manufacturing facility. You will be required to work at the Company's Franklin location in Franklin, NH. Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.
