Pay range of $80,000 - $97,600 annual salary - with additional compensation for prescheduled intermittent on call duties

Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

Purpose of the Position:

The Manager of Crisis Clinical Services is a licensed mental health professional who provides clinical oversight for the NCHC Crisis program, whose staff provide 24-hour Crisis assessment and response services to individuals needing mental health and/or substance abuse support the tri-county area. This includes supervision of Crisis program staff, supervision of the care and services provided to clients accessing Crisis services, and ensuring standards of care and regulations are met. The position also includes clinical education provision and participation in the Crisis services clinical on-call rotation as well as will work directly with other clinical and program services managers to ensure coordination of care and services among the Acute Care Programs, other NCHC programs, and community partners.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Required:

  • Master's degree in administration, or Human Services or Behavioral Health focus, from an accredited college or university.
  • State of Wisconsin Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, or Psychologist
  • 1 - 3 years of relevant experience

Preferred:

  • Experience providing clinical supervision.
  • Leadership in Behavioral Health Programs.
  • Proficiency in documentation of services provided in an Electronic Medical Record

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the day- to- day clinical operations of the 24/7 crisis center.

  • Reviews program clinical documentation and patient interactions for adherence to North Central Health Care quality standards.

  • Coaches and guides model mental health clinical practice in the integration of new evidence into practice.

  • Oversees program discharge planning, quality of mental health clinical care, and transitions of care.

  • Provides education to program and department staff, and to other NCHC programs/partners as needed.

  • Collaborates and consults with treatment providers and community referral sources, focusing on multidisciplinary treatment approaches.

  • Establishes and maintains liaison relationships with relevant groups and programs within, and exterior to, North Central Health Care.

  • Set clinical performance expectations in detail, provide feedback, and maintain individual accountability of employees through performance evaluations, outcome measuring and the development of performance improvement plans.

  • Collaborates with Acute Care services clinical managers, and other NCHC program leadership and service providers.

  • Provides immediate support in on-site crisis situations.

  • Coordinates with BHS leadership team on employee trainings and continuing education. Reviews department clinical policies and procedures and updates. Participates in ongoing quality assurance review activities.

  • Participates in ongoing quality assurance review activities including chart audits.

  • Arranges, participates, facilitates, and ensures clinical supervision per program regulations and NCHC quality of care practices and documents the clinical supervision provided.

  • Implements and enforces all regulatory standards, requirements, and guidelines, including federal, state, and local regulations, and licensing boards and accreditation authorities.

  • Adheres to scheduled work hours with regular and predictable attendance.

  • Participates in the BHS clinical on-call schedule rotation for crisis services clinical consultation on pre-scheduled nights and weekends.

  • Participates in on-call pool for Marathon County Jail Suicide watch and is available to make clinical judgements on whether an inmate should remain on suicide watch.

  • Acts as lead departmental on-call advisor for the Acute Care Programs, providing support and back-up to clinicians in the department clinical on-call rotation.

  • Collaborates with law enforcement agency partners to ensure continuity and efficacy of the crisis emergency mental health services and Chapter 51 regulatory obligations and processes.
