Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Manager of Cybersecurity to lead efforts in maturing the cybersecurity function, establishing governance, and defining security operations that protect critical assets. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise, leadership skills, and a proven track record in cloud security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and lead the organizations cybersecurity function from the ground up.
  • Define team structure, roles, responsibilities, and career development paths.
  • Develop policies, procedures, and frameworks aligned with industry best practices (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).
  • Design, implement, and maintain security controls within Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Ensure proper configuration, monitoring, and compliance across cloud workloads.
  • Lead threat modeling, vulnerability management, and cloud incident response initiatives.
  • Optimize Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud, and related security tools.
  • Monitor alerts, incidents, and security telemetry, and drive timely response actions.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Define metrics and KPIs for the cybersecurity program and report to leadership.
  • Work closely with IT, DevOps, and business units to promote a security-first culture.
  • Provide guidance on secure software development, cloud architecture, and infrastructure deployments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Masters preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with proven experience managing teams.
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure security services and architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices, zero-trust frameworks, and incident response.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST CSF, CIS, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience building or scaling security teams and programs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
