\n\n\n\nAn exciting opportunity is available for a Director of Nursing to join a large social services agency in Queens, NY. This role involves overseeing nursing operations and will require travel between Queens and Nassau locations. It’s a fantastic position for a seasoned nursing leader looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic healthcare setting.\n\n\n\n

Job Function:

\n

• Day Shift
\n
• 9am - 5pm.
\n

• Ensure quality health care delivery to all Residential Program participants.

  \n
\n

• Directly supervise Residential RNs within the assigned cluster.

  \n
\n

• Serve as a coach, collaborator, facilitator, and support for Residential Nurses.

  \n
\n

• Provide orientation and training for newly hired nurses as assigned.

  \n
\n

• Act as hospital discharge planner by coordinating with hospital staff, initiating Surgical Review Committee when needed, visiting hospitalized individuals, and assisting RNs with staff discharge training.

Job Requirements:

\n

\n

• 3 years of nursing experience with three of those years in the ID/DD field, required.
• Previous training and Quality Assurance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OPWDD regulations.
• Experience working with people with Autism is preferred.
