GREENFIELD Position Summary: Provide information on credit union products and services according to credit union policies and procedures. Products include consumer loans, credit cards, home equity loans and mortgages. Responsible for interviewing and evaluating applicants for loans, processing loan applications and funding loans. Gather background information and analyze loan applicants' credit history. Approve or deny loan applications based on analysis. Operate within credit authority. Essential Functions: Gather background information on loan applicants by conducting interviews and obtaining Credit Bureau reports. Assist members with loan application process to ensure completeness of information. Process loan applications: review and act on consumer loans to authorized limits. Approve or deny loan applications following appropriate policies, procedures, and regulations. Determine and arrange payment plans for applicants. Explore alternative options for members when loans are denied. Complete loan documents and disburse funds when loans are approved. Implement new loan products and services in accordance with management direction. Investigate and recommend new loan products to management. Cross sell products by suggesting any credit union loan or savings/checking accounts that might be appropriate for them. Assist in various duties to ensure efficient operation of credit union. Perform other similar duties as requested or assigned by supervisor. Experience: Lending experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate. Ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not required Minimum of 1 year banking experience Hours: Monday-Friday: 8:15am-5:15pm, Saturday- 8:45am-12:15pm (Saturday's scheduled as needed)
