Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the direction of the Head Librarian, responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Accurately shelve books, auction catalogs and periodicals in the library's stacks according to established procedures. Retrieve materials requested by patrons and staff. Read shelves to keep books in proper order. Process archival materials (review, describe, enter into database). For at least one hour a day work at the Information Services Desk, helping visitors and staff. Other duties as assigned by the Head Librarian. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Background in art history preferred. General knowledge of library procedures. Solid organizational skills and accuracy and close attention to detail. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to successfully complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision. Physical demands: frequent standing, walking, and reaching. Must be able to lift 40 pounds and climb stairs with ease. Cincinnati Art Museum
