Job Summary Evaluate schedule and fleet deployment adjustments to enhance route financial outcomes and operational efficiency, with a specific emphasis on route and service expansion. Essential Functions Lead and recommend changes: Use quantitative analyses to suggest schedule, fleet deployment, and other adjustments for Amtrak train operations. Develop contacts and gather information: Establish contacts within Amtrak and government partners to vet proposals and assess stakeholder input. Apply comprehensive understanding: Utilize thorough knowledge of Amtrak operations, data sources, and interdepartmental relationships. Coordinate cross-functional initiatives: Lead efforts to develop, implement, and evaluate schedule changes, fleet deployment changes, and expansion plans. Lead reviews and assessments: Oversee evaluations of route financial performance and the development of annual schedule and fleet deployment plans. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience. Plus 6 years of relevant work experience. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience. Plus 8 years of relevant work experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficient in written and oral communication, presentation, facilitation, interpersonal skills, time management, conflict resolution, and investigation Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously using appropriate administrative tools and controls Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, demonstrated Outstanding analytical skills and understanding of quantitative concepts Skilled in use of personal computer software and applications (including but not limited to Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint) The salary/hourly range is $94,300.00 – $122,256.00.
