Lab Technician (Pharmaceutical)

Location: Novato, CA (On-Site)

Pay Rate: $28.00-$32.20/HR (Annual of $69k-83k depending on shift)

Must be open to 1 st , 2 nd , 3 rd shift

1-year w-2 contract role (Strong potential to extend or convert to FTE)

Positions may be 5 x 8 hour shift, 4 x 10 hour shift, 3 x 12 and 4x12 hour shift. Manufacturing operations are 24/7, so this requires multiple off shift coverage. Shifts will be discussed at interviews.

Our client, a global leader in biotechnology and innovation of therapies for rare and genetic diseases and life-threatening conditions is seeking wet lab manufacturing associates to work in a close-knit team-based setting. Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k benefits are provided.

Job Duties: Learn biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes including mammalian cell culture, depth filtration, tangential flow filtration, column chromatography, protein purification, and formulation of bulk drug substance

• Operate large scale bioprocess equipment for the Cell Culture and Purifications operations.
• Prepare buffer and media solutions.
• Gain experience with automation systems (LIMS, MES, PI, etc.)
• Work with PCR, Gel Electrophoresis, and Western Blot Techniques

Education & Experience: Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or degree that had lab requirements OR

• Associate degree in a science-related area or Biotech certificate with 2+ years of experience in a Biotech manufacturing environment or other regulated industry
• PCR experience is a plus
• Prior undergrad experience in a lab or research setting is a plus
