Inventory Coordinator 1

The Inventory Coordinator 1 is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring efficient inventory control, and supporting the overall operations of the warehouse or inventory department. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that inventory levels are accurate, stock is appropriately managed, and discrepancies are promptly addressed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management:

    • Maintain accurate inventory records by performing regular counts, audits, and reconciliations.
    • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment of inventory.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Data Entry and Documentation:

    • Accurately enter inventory data into the inventory management system.
    • Prepare and maintain necessary documentation, including receiving reports, transfer records, and inventory adjustment forms.
  • Receiving and Shipping:

    • Assist with the receiving of incoming shipments, verifying quantities and inspecting for damages.
    • Coordinate with the shipping department to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of orders.
  • Discrepancy Resolution:

    • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including overages, shortages, and mislabeling.
    • Collaborate with other departments to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Warehouse Organization:

    • Help maintain an organized and efficient warehouse environment.
    • Ensure that inventory is stored in a safe and accessible manner, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Reporting:

    • Generate regular inventory reports and provide insights to management regarding inventory trends and issues.
    • Assist in the preparation of periodic and ad-hoc inventory reports as required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Higher education experience in a related field is a plus.
  • Entry level position, no previous inventory management experience required. Warehouse experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions
  • This position may require standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
  • Work is primarily performed in a warehouse or storage facility environment.
  • Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet inventory deadlines.
