We are looking for a Fellowship trained Pain Physician to join our rapidly growing practice in Victorville, CA. This position would be perfect for a newly graduated Pain physician who wishes to practice in a multi-disciplinary model and grow their interventional practice. The schedule will be initially clinic-based seeing patients and performing procedures, with advanced therapies at our state-of-the art Ambulatory Surgical Center after about 6 months. Advanced therapy training will occur by our experienced Chief of Surgery. We participate in clinical trials.

The Physician will join a group of dedicated physicians, be responsible for the medical and interventional management of patients and for referrals to the transdisciplinary care model (UTC) which includes Mental Health, Physical Reconditioning and Complementary and Alternative Medicine therapies. Care will be provided to patients by the physician in collaboration with this team.

Job Duties:

Excellent medical and procedural skills
Instructs and counsels patients regarding procedures performed; always promotes wellness and health maintenance.
Provides relief from acute or chronic pain through medications, provides nerve blocks, electrical stimulation, or other advanced interventional techniques.
Supervises up to four nurse practitioners and physician assistants to ensure those providers are accomplishing assigned job responsibilities and identifying candidates for interventional procedures.
Cares for a medically complex and emotionally challenging patient population that requires empathy and the ability to deescalate.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
Upholds the company’s mission, vision and values.
Performs other duties as assigned, consistent with the above responsibilities.
Willing to practice at other Savas locations if and as requested.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine
Graduate of an accredited Pain Medicine fellowship program
Must possess valid board certification as a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
Must possess a valid medical license in California.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment (30+ patients per clinic day and 25+ procedures per procedure day)
