Sodexo is seeking a   Registered Dietitian to come join their dynamic clinical team at  PIH Health Hospital in Whittier CA.  PIH Health Whittier is a 523 licensed bed acute care hospital with an average census of 320 patients and l ocated only 12 miles southeast of Los Angeles, CA.

 

In this role, the Dietitian Nutritionist will provide Medical Nutrition Therapy to patients with a variety of different disease states. An ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, but is not required. There are many opportunities to grow within Sodexo and specialize by obtaining advanced certifications (CDCES, CNSC, etc.).

Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the ideal candidate will:

• Be a Registered Dietitian;
• have prior experience  in the All Scripts program (is a plus);
• provide education to patients, as well as staff and work well with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff;
• possess the ability to creatively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions while working within a self-directed and team-oriented work environment;
• strong time management and organizational skills are needed to be successful in this position.

Come join our team of dietitians at PIH Health Whittier! We are also known as a Stroke Center, Bariatric Center of Excellence, and Heart and Lung Center. PIH Health has a variety of units including a NICU, LTAC within the hospital, Transitional Care Unit, Acute Rehab, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Oncology, and Respiratory.

 

We have an outpatient Nutrition and Wellness Center where our dietitians provide education as part of an ADA accredited Diabetes Education program as well as education on other various nutrition related diseases.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
