- Description of the Position
Responsible for the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP CMMS program to support our maintenance and utility operations across our facilities.
- Essential Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and configuration of SAP CMMS program to meet the specific maintenance requirements of our facilities.
- Customize SAP CMMS modules and functionalities to streamline maintenance workflows, asset management, work order processing, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with Facilities Technicians, Engineers, and other Managers to gather requirements, define system specifications, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain SAP CMMS documentation, including system design documents, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user manuals.
- Provide training and support to end-users on SAP CMMS functionality, processes, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, system errors, and performance bottlenecks in SAP CMMS, and implement solutions to resolve them.
- Conduct regular system audits and data validations to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in SAP CMMS technology and recommend enhancements or upgrades to improve system functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with IT personnel and external vendors to coordinate system upgrades, patches, and integrations with other enterprise systems.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on SAP CMMS within the organization, providing guidance and expertise to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure that all activities related to corrective and preventive maintenance of utilities, facilities and buildings are performed correctly and on schedule.
- Develop, implement, and follow up the Preventive Maintenance Program for utilities and facilities.
- Define spare parts required for the maintenance of equipment and systems of utilities and facilities.
- Develop specifications and conditions for the purchase of parts, equipment and systems related to utilities and facilities. Includes process of request for quotations and proposals to suppliers.
- Determine root cause and corrective/preventive actions for malfunctioning events and failures of utilities and facilities equipment and systems.
- Provide technical support to other departments as required.

- Education, Skills, and Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, or related field or equivalent professional level experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working with SAP CMMS software, preferably in an industrial maintenance environment.
- Proficiency in configuring and customizing SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) module, including maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution processes.
- Strong understanding of maintenance management principles, asset lifecycle management, and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) concepts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Solid project management skills, with experience leading SAP CMMS implementation projects from initiation to completion.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and customer service focus.
- Flexibility according to workload during the project phases.
- SAP certification in Plant Maintenance (PM) or equivalent (preferred).
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
