Job Description

Description: 2nd shift 3pm to 11pm- overtime when required
Set up, operate, or tend machines to coat or paint any of a wide variety of products, including glassware, cloth, ceramics, metal, plastic, paper, or wood, with lacquer, silver, copper, rubber, varnish, glaze, enamel, oil, or rust-proofing materials.

• Wash, mask and hang unfinished parts
• Sand and clean parts in preparation for painting
• Mix paints per specifications and requirements
• Operate manual painting equipment
• Help maintain paint lines, spray booths and other equipment
• Using a variety of hand tools from wrenches and drills to dual action sanders and mixing equipment.
• Abrades surfaces of metal or hard-composition objects to remove adhering scale and dirt, and to impart specified finish, using abrasive- blasting equipment: Shovels or pours abrasives, such as glass bead sand, grit, shot or other specified blast media of specified grade into machine hopper or reclaim systems.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work area
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Previous industrial painting experience preferred
• Ability to work from blueprints, shop orders, written procedures, and verbal instructions from a Supervisor
• Knowledge of EPA guidelines and generally accepted practices and procedures related to the duties needed for this role.
