Industrial Maintenance Technician

$65,000-85,000 yearly on-target earnings

($28.28–$38.00/hr + overtime + profit sharing + 5k relocation assistance)

Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts on a DuPont 4-week cycle

About the Role:

We're hiring a Maintenance Technician for a client in Bennettsville, SC, seeking experienced industrial mechanics to join a high-performing team in a 24/7 manufacturing operation. This role focuses on equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, and quick response to plant issues that affect safety, quality, and uptime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly and safely to breakdowns, working with operators to resolve maintenance issues
• Own your assigned area, addressing downtime, safety, and quality concerns proactively
• Assist in developing and executing preventive maintenance (PM) activities
• Log maintenance work daily and ensure all records are up to date
• Communicate effectively with operators, planners, and fellow technicians
• Collaborate across crafts and shifts to maintain high equipment reliability
• Enter work requests for follow-up and document root causes of failures
• Support daily schedules, asset reliability processes, and on-shift coverage needs
• Engage in training opportunities and continuous skill development
• Wear a radio and respond to issues as needed, keeping others informed

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 2-year mechanical degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required
• 5+ years of industrial mechanical experience (bearings, hydraulics, pumps, gearboxes)
• Skilled in industrial welding, fabrication, and mechanical troubleshooting
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and controls integration required
• Able to read and interpret technical documentation
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); SAP familiarity a plus
• Self-motivated and able to work extended hours or rotating shifts
• Must be able to work at heights and in high-noise, hot, or dusty environments
• Able to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to walk, climb, bend, stoop, and crouch throughout the facility
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
• Work around heavy equipment in environments with dust, noise, and temperature variation
• Stand/walk for extended periods during 12-hour shifts
