Job Description
Position Summary: MRI Electronic Repair Technician installs, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates, and verifies the performance of imaging systems and associated parts. This role involves a strong combination of mathematics, physics, component level repair, and programming skills. This position may require additional duties/responsibilities that may not be outlined below, and specific functions are subject to change.
Essential Duties: - Repair parts for sale requests based on repair list, and able to provide phone technical support to customers
- Confirms own tech stock and communicates items needing to be purchased, prior to items being needed for parts repair. Must maintain proper tech stock levels
- Perform installations and deinstallation of systems in-house as needed
- Perform quarterly preventative maintenance on in-house systems
- Parts testing, repair analysis, and system diagnostic testing
- Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and order in the workshop
- Perform incoming inspections, equipment quality control, testing, calibration, and image evaluation of equipment according to manufacturer's specifications and other established guidelines
- Demonstrate adherence to the business core values in all professional interactions with internal and external customers and exhibiting integrity
- Support Quality initiatives as it pertains to the organization and the role
Education/Experience: Required: - AA degree or higher in Electronics required or Military equivalent
- Electronic Technician certification or comparable certification
Preferred: - Bachelor's degree in electronical engineering or related fields
- Experience with JTAG would be beneficial
Competencies: - Proficiency with serial data communication including: CAN, I2C, and SPI
- Proficiency with bus interfaces including USB and PCI
- Knowledge of embedded microprocessors and microcontrollers
- Good technical troubleshooting skills
- Typical use of hand tools and some power/air tools
- Attention to details and well-organized with good follow through
- Works well with all levels of management, client, end users, and vendors
- Great physical stamina and manual dexterity

Exposure to CT/MRI Systems, radiation from the CT may be daily. The job may require travel by car or air within the United States.
