Job Description
The Houseperson at the Hyatt Place Orlando Lake Buena Vista is responsible for supporting the housekeeping team as needed, as well as cleaning and maintaining other areas of the hotel including public spaces and back of the house areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Follow assigned tasks for the day as assigned by the management team.
Clean and maintain the guest hallways, stairwells, service areas and ice rooms.
Collect trash and soiled linen from the housekeepers and deliver to laundry room.
Deliver and retrieve guest requests as needed in a timely manner.
Monitor placement and condition of public space furniture, report issues to management.
Restock guest floor linen closets and guest amenities.
Assist the housekeepers in stripping linen and trash from guest rooms as needed.
Replenish amenities and supplies in assigned guestrooms.
Stock and maintain housekeeping cart.
Treat guests and team members in a pleasant, professional, and friendly manner.
Be knowledgeable about the hotel and amenities offered.
Ability to follow a checklist.
Store and retrieve luggage or packages for guests in storage areas, as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Physical ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
Ability to follow instructions, assigned tasks, and meet deadlines.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
Availability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, holidays, & weekends.
Must be proficient in Windows operating systems, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing.
Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
Must have a desire to serve all guests.
Must be 18 years of age or older to perform this job.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous hotel housekeeping experience.
Knowledge of industrial carpet cleaning products.
