Job Description

ProMedica, one of the largest and most integrated healthcare delivery systems in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan, is seeking a Full-Time Pediatric Hospitalist to work at ProMedica Ebeid Children's Hospital in Toledo, OH. Ideal candidates should be focused and engaged in a patient-centered care model and interested in teaching medical students and residents. Candidates must be BC/BE. Pediatric Hospital Medicine certification or eligibility is encouraged but not required.

Responsibilities:

1. Work with a dedicated and cohesive team of professionals committed to providing quality patient care and maintaining high work ethics.
2. Utilize electronic medical records (EPIC).
3. Participate in 12-hour shifts, primarily day shifts, with some night shifts as part of a team that currently includes 9 pediatric hospitalists, with plans to expand.
4. Collaborate closely with the ER and outside facilities to triage patients effectively.
5. Provide care for patients in the Level 1 nursery (no deliveries or circumcisions), NICU, and PICU, with 24/7 coverage.
6. Engage in teaching opportunities in partnership with the University of Toledo Medical School and the University of Toledo Pediatric Residency Program.
7. Participate in hospital committees and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Valid medical license to practice in Ohio
• Board certification or eligibility
• New graduates and experienced providers are encouraged to apply
• Current AHA CPR certification
