Your Mission: As an In-Home Service Provider at CASL, you'll be the cornerstone of support for our clients. Your role involves following clients' written Plans of Care to provide direct in-home services, offering a helping hand with daily activities, personal care, and more. You'll play a vital role in maintaining records, attending in-service training, and ensuring our clients' well-being.
Key Responsibilities: - Follow clients' Plans of Care to provide direct in-home services.
- Assist with meal planning and preparation, housekeeping, shopping tasks, and more.
- Provide support with personal care tasks that are not medical in nature.
- Escort clients for medical appointments and essential errands.
- Observe client functioning and report any changes.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities.
- Attend at least 12 hours of in-service training each year.
- Carry out assigned duties as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements: To thrive in this role, you should have:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of employment in a comparable human service capacity or one year of experience in caring for a dependent child or adult family member.
- Ability to read, write, and speak Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) (English is a plus).
- Knowledge of housekeeping, food preparation, and personal care.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Client-focused and customer service-driven.
Physical Demands: - Required to position and transfer clients weighing in excess of 100 pounds.
- Frequently sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift, move, and/or support participants or objects weighing in excess of 25 pounds.
- Must have the physical, visual, hearing, and learning capabilities to perform essential functions.
Environment and Scheduling: - Irregular hours, Sunday through Saturday, 8 AM to 8 PM in IHS client's home.
- Flexibility and availability to work after regular business hours, 7 days a week, to intervene in important client matters.
