What Would You Do? Diagnosis/repair of engine, fuel system, drive train, steering, brakes, and suspension components on heavy equipment, zero turn mowers, hydraulic systems, pumps, forklifts, man lifts, tractors, boom mowers, all types of construction and earth moving equipment, Gradalls, Excavators, and other smaller equipment just to name a few Diagnosis/repair of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic systems and components on a variety of heavy equipment and associated apparatus and/or diagnosis/repair Use of precision diagnostic tools and measuring devices to aid in the diagnosis and repair of the above-mentioned systems and components Diagnosis and repair of air conditioning systems. Electronic and engine diagnosis utilizing sophisticated diagnostic equipment. Programming electronic components in equipment. Performs related work as assigned or required. What Do You Need To Have? At least 5 years of journeyman level experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, truck, or off-road; or An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. Attainment of ASE certifications in brakes and suspension & steering under Medium-Heavy Truck within 1 year of hire. Attainment of Mobile Air Conditioning Society or ASE air conditioning certifications within 1 year of hire. Possession and maintenance of a Florida Commercial Driver's License Class A within 1 year of employment with eligibility based upon evaluation of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) driving report. Assignment to work a variety of work schedules including compulsory work periods in special, emergency, and/or disaster situations. Why Choose Pinellas County?
