Summary/Scope of Role: The Embroidery Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining embroidery machines to produce high-quality embroidered garments in our embroidery room. The room is run by one person. The front office handles customer service, writing up orders, ordering product and dig files, getting customer approval and shipping and receiving.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Computer Skills – Proficient in email communication, file creation, file management, and downloading/uploading documents. Experience with Wilcom for digitizing designs and exporting files to USB is preferred. (3+ years experience desired.)
- Embroidery Machine Operation – Skilled in operating Tajima or similar commercial embroidery machines (including four-head and six-head units). Responsibilities include loading designs, setting up machines, performing routine cleaning and maintenance, running sample sew-outs for approval, and producing final embroidered products. (3+ years experience preferred.)
- Product Handling & Production Workflow – Accurately verify product counts, prepare items for embroidery (including hooping and loading), run production jobs, and perform post-production tasks such as cleaning, folding, and boxing. Completed orders are delivered to the front office for invoicing and shipment.
- Sewing / Seamstress Duties – Perform basic sewing tasks including attaching patches, sewing Velcro, and hemming as needed.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and consistency.

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three-year experience in operation of industrial embroidery machinery and equipment
- Basic computer skills for operating embroidery software
- Good color perception and hand-eye coordination
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment.
- Graphic design or digitizing knowledge.
