📍 GIS Project Manager | 6-Month Contract-to-Hire | Hybrid or Remote (U.S.)

*Gas Insulated Switchgear, not Geographical Information System

Spencer Ogden is working with a leading energy technology company to find an experienced GIS Project Manager to support a growing portfolio of substation and transmission & distribution (T&D) projects. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity with excellent long-term potential and after 90 days of employment .

🛠 Key Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple GIS projects with budgets ranging from $10–20M
• Oversee project scheduling, budgeting, risk, and change management
• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders across 4–6 simultaneous projects
• Travel to project sites, client locations, and factories as needed (up to 30%)

🔍 Ideal Candidate Has:

• 3–5+ years of project management experience, preferably in substation or utility environments
• Engineering degree preferred (Electrical Engineering most preferred)
• GIS project experience highly desired
• PMP certification or engineering design background is a strong plus
• A go-getter mindset with eagerness to learn internal processes and best practices
• Working knowledge of switchgear is a plus

🌍 Location & Flexibility:

• Raleigh, NC (hybrid schedule: 3 days in-office)
• Must be eligible for domestic travel ; international travel is a plus
