Full-Service Hotel General Manager

Compensation: $90K to $105K+

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and forward-thinking professional to take on the role of General Manager for our full-service hotel. This is a pivotal position where you will oversee all aspects of hotel operations while balancing leadership, guest satisfaction, and financial performance. The General Manager will play a critical role in creating a positive team environment, driving revenue, and strengthening the hotel’s reputation for exceptional service and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee Operations

  • Lead and manage all hotel departments, including front office, food and beverage, housekeeping, maintenance, and banqueting, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Troubleshoot operational challenges promptly to maintain high standards of efficiency and guest satisfaction.


Drive Guest Satisfaction

  • Cultivate a guest-focused culture to ensure exceptional service at every interaction.
  • Regularly assess guest feedback and reviews, implementing actionable solutions for continuous improvement in service quality.


Leadership and Team Development

  • Mentor and develop department managers and staff, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability throughout the hotel.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, establish clear goals, and create opportunities for professional growth across all levels of the team.


Financial Oversight and Performance

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Monitor overall expenditures while maintaining high levels of quality in operations, services, and offerings.
  • Identify financial inefficiencies using detailed performance insights and execute strategies to improve outcomes.


Strategic Planning and Growth

  • Create and implement strategic initiatives to strengthen market positioning and increase occupancy rates.
  • Ensure alignment with brand standards while maintaining the hotel’s appeal in the broader hospitality industry.


Standards and Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with all hotel policies, health and safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct routine inspections and audits to maintain excellence across operations.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of five to seven years of progressive experience in hotel management, including at least two years in a general manager capacity for a full-service property.
  • Experience working with hotel systems such as PMS, POS, and revenue management platforms.
  • Strong financial literacy, including skills in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Proven success inspiring and motivating teams in a high-pressure environment.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal abilities, with a guest-first approach to service.
  • Track record of implementing innovative strategies that drive financial performance and operational success.
