A leading healthcare facility in New Jersey is seeking Gastroenterologists for ongoing inpatient coverage and on-call responsibilities.

About the Opportunity

• Daily inpatient rounds and consults: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• On-call: 24 hours, Monday through Sunday (one week at a time)

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient gastroenterology consultations and follow-up care.

• Perform endoscopic procedures such as:

  EGD, Colonoscopy, EGD with PEG tube placement
• Manage acute GI bleeding and perform therapeutic interventions.
• Respond to consults from hospitalist teams, teaching services, and other specialists.
• Provide 24-hour on-call coverage for ER, inpatient units, and rapid diagnostic units.
• Handle GI transfers from other facilities within the health system.
• Document care using Epic EMR.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Active New Jersey medical license.
• Experience in inpatient GI care and emergency procedures.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other physicians.
• Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred.
