In this position, you will provide on-site applications support, installation and troubleshooting, and will assist sales representatives with seminars and technical demonstrations. As a founding member of Asian Headquarters, you will help launch the new Extracellular Flux Analyzer to biotech, pharma, academic, customers, and distributors/dealers in Asia. You will build relationships with customers and support our suite of biological applications for the XF technology.Job RequirementsYou should be familiar with disease-related metabolism and drug discovery process. A Ph.D. in the biological sciences is required. Three years experience using and developing cell-based assays is required, preferably in a bio-medical environment.LocationThis position is based in our new Shanghai office. A 60-90 day training period will take place in the company's U.S. facility as well as our Shanghai office, and at customer and collaborator sites in the field.Job SummaryYour primary role will be to support customers as they apply our new technology to their drug discovery or research programs. This will require knowledge of both the technology and the associated biology in cell based assays.You will need to present introductory seminars, demonstrations and workshops for the technology at customer sites. Your oral presentation skills as well as your familiarity with the bio-medical field (technical and peer reviewed literature) will be critical. In addition, you will be asked to hands-on run cell-based XF assays at our Shanghai lab for training, demo and new application development.Heavy travel, primarily to customer sites is required.
