Korn Ferry has partnered with our client on their search for Equity Investment Analyst (Med-Tech).
Location: Atlanta, Georgia (On-site requirements, must be in Atlanta or open to relocation)
*Must have experience/ be specialized in healthcare and/or medical technology*
Qualifications:
- Experience as an equity analyst for at least 5 or more years, specialized in healthcare and medical technology
- An investment track record which is based on fundamental analysis.
- Passion for the financial markets, equity analysis and valuation.
- Self-motivated and operates well in an independent, yet collegial, environment.
- Independent analytical thinker with the ability to cover 120+ stocks.
- Experience in pure independent valuation and analysis – should not be dependent on meeting with management, sell-side research, or the approval of a Portfolio Manager.
- Clearly articulated analytical framework and a well-developed investment process.
- Experience presenting, defending and validating investment recommendations.
- Experience and a high comfort level in a performance-based environment.
Responsibilities:
- The Investment Analyst will report directly to the Co-Directors of Research.
- Contribute to the internal equity investment funds, both Domestic and International.
- Provide Medical Technology/ Healthcare sector/industry group coverage as a member of a ~20 analyst team.
- Perform fundamental research on 120+ domestic/foreign stocks across market caps.
- Independently assess a company from SEC filings and other source materials.
- Analyze company income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, company and industry competitive positioning, factor sensitivities and other qualitative attributes.
- Develop a strategy for the deployment of assets within specific GICS industry groups.
- Prepare written stock pitches prior to implementing an active recommendations.
- Succinctly summarize stock calls, including the “risks” and “reasons to own.”
- Be able to assess the long-term viability of a company and defend this opinion to portfolio managers and peers.
- Manage a mock portfolio that clearly tracks their individual performance relative to a customized benchmark.
- Be in office a minimum three days each week to cross-collaborate and build relationships with colleagues across the department.
- On the administrative side, analysts are required to prepare two-page board reports and two paragraph stock summaries written in a professional business writing style.
