Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Air Quality Technician to join our team as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in environmental science, mold inspections, or a related field. The technician will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, collecting samples, and providing detailed reports to clients. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough mold inspections in residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Collect air and surface samples for laboratory analysis. Identify and document mold contamination, moisture issues, and potential health hazards. Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and remediation strategies. Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of inspection results and remediation options. Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices for mold inspection and remediation. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all inspections and findings. Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure comprehensive service delivery. Qualifications: Certified Mold Inspector (CMI) or equivalent certification preferred but not required. Minimum of 1 year of experience in mold inspection, air quality inspection, or related field preferred but not required. Knowledge of mold identification and testing methods. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Impeccable work ethic. Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Ability to provide proof of insurance. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 30 lbs. Comfortable working in various indoor environments, including attics, basements, and crawl spaces. Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders for extended periods. Compensation: Competitive compensation based on project scope and experience.
