Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day & Night 12 hrs shift

Position Overview:

Pride Health is seeking a skilled and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join our dynamic team at a high-volume, high-acuity Emergency Department (ED) . In this role, you will be responsible for providing critical care to patients of all ages, including those with traumatic injuries, stroke, sepsis, and STEMI conditions. You will need to quickly and accurately assess patient conditions, prioritize their needs, and provide rapid interventions to stabilize patients. The ED is fast-paced, and you will be expected to respond to a variety of emergency situations requiring decisive actions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive, emergency nursing care to patients with a wide range of medical and trauma conditions.
• Quickly assess incoming patients to prioritize care based on severity of injury or illness.
• Stabilize and treat patients with stroke, sepsis, STEMI, and other critical conditions.
• Provide rapid response to emergency situations, working in collaboration with other team members to ensure the best outcomes.
• Float between ED Adult, Peds, and IMC units as required.
• Administer medications, IVs, and treatments as per physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the patient's medical record accurately and in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure clear and timely information exchange.
• Provide support and guidance to families, ensuring they understand care plans and the next steps in treatment.
• Participate in emergency preparedness training, and contribute to department improvements in care delivery.

Qualifications:

• Experience Required : Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Licensure : Valid NJ State Professional Registered Nurse (RN) license or multi-state compact license.
• Certifications :

1. ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
2. PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
3. NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
4. Telemetry Certification
5. BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA

• Required Skills : Strong experience in managing Stroke , Sepsis , and STEMI patients in a high-acuity ED setting.
• Preferred : 4 hours of CEUs specific to Stroke care .
