Watts Electric is a trusted Nebraska-based electrical contractor specializing in highway lighting, traffic signals, underground utilities, and other civil infrastructure projects. Our Civil Division focuses on large-scale outdoor work across the state, helping build and maintain the infrastructure that keeps our communities connected and safe.

Position Summary:
We’re hiring an experienced Electrical Apprentice to join our Civil Division! This role is hands-on and fast-paced, working outdoors on major construction and electrical infrastructure projects. You’ll assist our licensed electricians and operators with installations, maintenance, and repairs on job sites throughout Nebraska.

This position requires Monday–Friday travel across Nebraska, with $125 per day per diem provided. You’ll be home every weekend !!

Responsibilities:

• Assist electricians with installing conduit, wire, lighting, and control systems
• Perform underground electrical work, trenching, and pole setting
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Help with layout, measurements, and basic electrical setups
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
• Follow all company, OSHA, and DOT safety standards

Qualifications:

• Previous construction experience required (civil, utility, or electrical preferred)
• Valid Drivers License required
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical labor
• Strong teamwork skills and attention to detail
• Must pass a background check and drug screen
